Easter: Christ’s Victory

In the final part of the Easter series I look at the the victory won by Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Easter is one of my very favourite times of the year, as we get to reflect on the life Jesus has given us from His death on the cross. It’s a time to reflect on the victory that was won on that day; and as Andrew Peterson sings, “He makes all things new!”

I want to give you some encouragement today and take some time to tell you that no matter where you’ve come from, what you’ve done, and no matter what you’re doing, Jesus has cleaned the slate. He’s forgiven you and has made you a new creation.

Through suffering comes life. Like a forest which grows stronger after the fire, the invitation has been given to walk into the goodness of His grace. We may turn away from our brokenness, pretend it isn’t even there, but the truth is, we were doomed from the beginning. But Jesus poured out His blood to wash away our sins; all we need to do is believe.

So today, wherever you are reading this, I encourage you to lay down your life at the pierced feet of Jesus. You are not an enemy, you are treasured and loved, and He’s calling you home to where we all belong.
